FSGMN to host ‘Pride Parade 2019’

On the special occasion of Gai Jatra, Federation of Sexual and Gender Minorities Nepal (FSGMN) is hosting ‘Pride Parade 2019’ on Friday. The march will start from Thamel Marg, Kathmandu in the afternoon.

This is the 16th LGBTIQ+ pride parade from FSGMN. The march will also be joined by the Kathmandu-based NGO, The Blue Diamond Society (BDS) and its sister organizations. The BDS work for sexual minorities on a national level with the mission to improve sexual health, human and LGBTIQ+ rights.

“On the special occasion of the festival that commemorates the death of people, this year too, the parade, carrying the slogan – ‘Our Festival Our Pride’, invites people to participate in it,” FSGMN wrote on the description of their event.

Founded in 2007, FSGMN is the first network of LGBTIQ+. Currently, the organization has 37 affiliated community-based organizations (CBOs) and 53 offices in 32 districts.
