Former Minister Khapangi passes away

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Former Minister Gore Bahadur Khapangi Magar passed away last night while undergoing treatment at the Neuro Hospital at Bansbari.

He died due to respiratory complication, according to his family members.

He had become ill since he met with a road accident in 2013. He had undergone a year-long treatment because of the road accident.

Khapangi served as the Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare in the government led by the then Prime Minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand in 2002.

He was the founding general secretary of Rastriya Janamukti Party and founding chairman of Nepal Magar Association.
