‘China-Nepal Thangka Arts and Works Exhibition’ concludes today

Three-day-long art exhibition ‘China-Nepal Thangka Arts and Works Exhibition’ that was being held at the premises of Nepal Academy, Kathmandu concluded on Sunday. The exhibition organized by World Cultural Net in cooperation with Chinese Embassy featured 20 Thangka paintings of 16 renowned Chinese artists and 12 paintings of Veteran Nepali Paubha artist Lok Chitrakar. 

According to World Culture Net the exhibition was organized to promote cross border culture and art exchange.  Thangka has the history of more than 1,300 years. It is an important art form in Nepal and Tibet, as both follows ancient Buddhist culture.
