Belaka Municipality provides subsidy for paragliding course

DHARAN, Nov 12: To foster tourism and create job opportunities, Udaypur‘s Belaka Municipality is giving a subsidy of Rs 50,000 to study a pilot course in paragliding.  

According to Mayor, Durga Bahadur Thapa, “Eight local youths will receive training. We will give them Rs 50,000 each as a subsidy so that they will fly tourists here in the future.”

Paragliding School commenced its operations from the day of Laxmi Puja , Wednesday. The school is run in coordination with Nepal Paragliding and Hand Gliding Association (NEPHA). 

Mayor Thapa inaugurated the school which is the first paragliding school in Province 1 and the third in Nepal.
