KATHMANDU, August 18: The hearings on a writ petition filed against the appointment of Kulman Ghising as the new managing director of Nepal electricity Authority (NEA) by former NEA managing director Hitendradev Shakya will be conducted by a Supreme Court bench led by Justice Kumar Regmi. Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JB Rana scheduled the petition to be heard under Regmi’s bench on Wednesday.

KHOTANG, August 17: Due to heavy rain, the ambulance service in Khotang has been severely affected. Dozens of roads, which are operational in winter, have been blocked because of heavy rain. This has resulted in a great deal of difficulty for the ambulances to run smoothly.
