BIRATNAGAR, May 14: Mayor candidate of the ruling five-party alliance in Biratnagar Metropolitan City Nagesh Koirala is leading in the election race with 434 votes out of 1,200 votes counted so far.  Koirala’s nearest rival Sagar Thapa of the CPN-UML has received 316 votes so far.

MANANG, May 14: Dhan Bahadur Gurung of the Nepali Congress has been elected to the post of Chairman of Naso Rural Municipality in Manang district. He gathered 820 votes while his nearest rival Man Bahadur Gurung of the CPN-UML secured 676 votes.
