UML activist killed, four injured in separate clash

MALEKHU (DHADING), May 15: A CPN (UML) activist was killed on Sunday night at Pipalbhanjyang area of Jogimara, Rorang Village Council – 9. 

Laxman Chepang, 30, was beaten to death with a stick inside an under construction house. Police recovered his body covered with a tarpaulin sheet and zinc sheet. Officials also recovered a blood stained stick beside the dead body. 

Meanwhile in Nilkantha Municipality – 5, four persons were injured during a clash between Nepali Congress and UML activists. 

UML's Rajendra Thapa Magar, 42, Lalit Bahadur Thapa Magar, 25, and Ganesh Bahadur Thapa Magar, 19, along with Nepali Congress cadre, Ram Bahadur Thapa Magar, were injured in the clash, according to police. 

UML accuse Congress' activists of blocking their way on Sunday evening following the conclusion of the voting process and attacking them with Khukuri, a traditional Nepali sword. RSS
