Training camp for Judo National Team starts

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: The International Judo Federation (IJF)’s judo coach Dan Telkar has started training the players for of the Nepali national judo team on from Wednesday. 

The training camp was started at the International Sports Complex in Satdobato which featured 14 players each from in men’s and women’s categories. The players who secured first and second places in the 15th National Judo Tournament Championship under the NSC Championship held last week were selected for the training camp.  The NJA had appealed to the IJF for a coach keeping in mind the preparations for the upcoming South Asian Games (SAG), Asian Games and Olympics. Following Nepal’s requestThen, the IJF had sent sixth dan holder Dan Telkar from Romania.
