Three Nepalis killed in Lucknow bus accident identified

TIKAPUR, Jan 9: All the three Nepalis who died in the bus accident in Lucknow have been identified. They died when a bus coming from Gujarat to Tikapur met with an accident near Lucknow, India on Sunday. According to the District Police Office Kailali, four people including three Nepalis and an Indian bus driver died in the accident.

Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office Kailali, Ved Joshi informed that the deceased have been identified as 55-year-old Chandra Saud of Tikapur Municipality-1, 45-year-old Lalit Saud, and 20-year-old Nirmala Bohora of the same municipality. According to DSP Joshi, the identity of the bus driver, an Indian national, is yet to be ascertained.

Police informed that the condition of 35-year-old Hari Saud of Tikapur Municipality-1, who was injured in the accident, is serious. Similarly, Deputy Superintendent of Police Joshi informed that the condition of 25-year-old Deepak Sunar of Krishnapur Municipality in Kanchanpur is moderate and the condition of seven others is normal.

The bus (RJ-27 PA 5703) which was coming from Gujarat, India to Tikapur, Nepal, met with an accident near Lucknow on Sunday night. The police were informed that a mini truck collided with the bus.

It is said that there were 66 passengers in the bus. Bus services are being operated from Surat of Gujarat and other regions of India especially for Nepalese citizens.
