Speaker Ghimire discusses HoR Calendar with parties’ chief whips

KATHMANDU, July 18: The Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) has discussed the HoR Calendar with the chief whips of different parties.

According to the chief whip of the ruling CPN-UML, Mahesh Kumar Bartaula, today’s meeting with the Speaker was focused on the issue regarding newly-elected Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s vote of confidence in HoR. Discussion was also focused on the HoR Calendar.

"We proceed with the parliament meeting by making a calendar every 15 days, we will determine which day the HoR will meet and which day the committee meetings will be held,” he said.

He also said that a live question-answer session between PM Oli and MPs has been scheduled for July 22. 

The HoR meeting has been scheduled for July 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, he said.
