SC overturns govt’s decision, reinstates TUSC member

KATHMANDU, Aug 6: Issuing an interim order, a single bench hearing of Justice Dipak Kumar Karki at the Supreme Court has reinstated Tribhuvan University Service Commission (TUSC) member Chintamani Pokhrel on Monday.

Pokhrel had become the latest victim of the Oli-led government’s decision to scrap all appointments made by the Sher Bahadur Deuba led government.

Pokhrel had filed a complaint against the government’s decision at Supreme Court demanding reinstatement. Pokhrel will re-join the TU Service Commission today at 4 pm.
