KATHMANDU, Sept 28: The incessant rainfall taking place for the past three days across the country is expected to decline by Saturday evening.

Chief of the Flood Forecasting Section of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Binod Parajuli, said that intensity of rainfall would decrease gradually later in Saturday evening.

“The rainfall will wane this evening. But it will not stop completely. It will continue till tomorrow,” he said, “The rainfall occurring since Thursday evening has been forecasted to lose its intensity by this evening.”

Parajuli added that the existing monsoon pattern will fizzle out on Sunday. However, the weather will remain cloudy for a few more days and some places will witness light rainfall. The monsoon pattern has had a higher impact from Jhapa to Kapilvastu.

With the end of the existing monsoon pattern, the monsoon season will finally end in the country for this year.
