KATHMANDU, Sept 29: Incessant rainfall from September 26 to September 28 has led to significant loss of lives and property across Nepal. The continuous downpour has shattered previous records, with 25 locations in 14 districts experiencing unprecedented levels of rainfall.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, heavy to torrential rains were observed due to a monsoon low-pressure system affecting the region. The rainfall data collected on September 28 at 8:45 AM indicates that numerous areas have surpassed the old record for 24-hour rainfall.

This alarming weather pattern has raised concerns about the ongoing impact on communities already affected by the monsoon season. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and are mobilizing resources to assist those in need.
