More than 500 families affected by floods in Sunsari

INARUWA (SUNSARI), Sept 29: More than 500 families have been affected by rain-induced floods in Sunsari. 

Local Wajuddin Mansuri said that more than 40 houses have been inundated in Koshi Rural Municipality-4.

Likewise, Ward member of Inaruwa Municipality-1 Pradeep Dhakal shared that some houses of wards 1, 4, 3 and 8 of the municipality have been flooded. Houses in Hari Nagar, Dewanganj, Bhokraha, Duhabi, Barju rural municipality and Itahari sub-metropolitan city have been inundated. 

He said that more than 500 families in the district were affected by the flood.

Meanwhile, one person has been electrocuted in Barahakshetra Municipality-4. Bikhon Chaudhary,55, died due to electric shocks while charging his City Safari e-rickshaw.

District Police Office Spokesman Naveen Krishna Bhandari said he died on the spot.
