KATHMANDU, March 19: Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale has warned CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli not to be confident in winning 60 percent of seats in the upcoming local level election.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on Saturday, Minister Ale, who is also a leader of CPN (Unified Socialist), said that Oli squandered his opportunity even as the then Nepal Communist Party (NCP) under his leadership secured close to two-third majority seats in parliament. Arguing that it was the hubris of Oli that led to the split of NCP, Ale suggested him not to be confident in getting such a victory.

In a separate context, Minister Ale accused  the then Oli-led government of handing over the Narayanhiti museum and the Dharamsala of Pashupatinath to private parties at a very cheap price. He said that Oli should not be proud of these kinds of political achievements he made during his tenure as the prime minister.

On the occasion, Minister Ale said that he would do his best to arrange the necessary budget for Dolakha within the next three years and hold discussions with the Prime Minister, Information Minister, and Finance Minister for that purpose. Ale said that all the concerned bodies should exert pressure on the government to arrange the necessary budget for the district.
