Let's bring prosperity through competition: Vice President

ILAM, April 15: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has stressed on the need of making the year 2075 as the year of development and prosperity. 

Speaking at a program organized in Ilam to mark 200 years of establishment of the old district headquarters, Khalanga, on Saturday, Vice President Pun stated that the representatives and leaders must lead the country toward development and prosperity. According to him, there should be a stiff competition among the provinces to bring more development and prosperity. 

"But the competition must be free and fair," he said, adding, "We all should make sure that our agenda behind every development project should be to make citizens happy."
 Following the year of elections, Vice President Pun emphasized that this year should be all about prosperity and progress. He also promised that Ilam will contribute a lot for the prosperity of the nation. 

Locals of Ilam are organizing a three-day festival which began on Saturday to mark 200 years of the establishment of Khalanga with the slogan "Ilam: our pride'. Vice President Pun inaugurated the festival.
