Landslide blocks Kanti Highway

MAKWANPUR, July 28: The Kanti Highway connecting Kathmandu to Hetauda has been blocked. Transport services on the highway were disrupted due to landslides in Pandhure and Chhabeni of Bagmati Rural Municipality-2 of Lalitpur on Saturday night.

Spokesperson for the District Police Office, Inspector Prakash Shah said that the traffic from Hetauda to Thigan was also blocked due to a landslide at Siranchowk of Kanti Lokpath in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-8, Makwanpur. 

Works are on to clear the landslide debris in Pandhure and Chhabeni. According to the police, transport services are currently operating to and from Hetauda along the Tribhuvan Highway via the Fakhel-Sisneri-Kulekhani-Matatirtha road.
