Journalists duo Siwakoti and Rijal conferred Basu Rotary Good Governance Award

KATHMANDU, Feb 19: Rotary International District 3292 on Friday honored journalists duo Ajaya Babu Siwakoti and Pralhad Rijal with the Basu Rotary Vocational Good Governance Award.  

Siwakoti, editor-in-chief of the online news portal, Hamrakura,  and Rijal, editor of Arthik Daily, were conferred the award that carries a purse of Rs 500,000 each for disseminating investigative and research-based contents and promoting good governance.

Siwakoti was the first one to make public the audio tape of the then Communication Minister Gokul Baskota. He had also exposed the controversy of the attempted rape case of the then Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara while Rijal first covered the irregularities in Lalita Niwas land scam.
