Govt's 12 key priorities for upcoming fiscal year

KATHMANDU, May 29: Here are the 12 key areas that the government has allocated budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2018/19.                                                   

• Office of Prime Minister and Council of Minister:: 11.88%           156 billion  

• Education, Science and Technology: 10.22%                                134 billion

• Physical Infrastructure and Transportation: 8.31%                        109 billion

• Ministry of Finance (Financial management): 7.25%                      95 billion

• Local level (Financial Uniformity Grant): 6.47%                             85 billion

• Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Administration: 5.65%       74 billion

• Ministry of Finance (Miscellaneous): 5.32%                                   70 billion

• Ministry of Finance (Civil Servants and Pension): 4.63%             61 billion

• Health: 4.29%                                                                                     56 billion

• Energy water resource and irrigation: 4.27                                   56 billion

• Home Ministry: 4.13%                                                                         54 billion

• Ministry of Defense: 3.43%
