Flights suspended for 30 minutes as PM Oli lands in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli returned from the United States and landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday at 4:15 pm.

Jagannath Niraula, the airport chief, informed Republica that all other flights were suspended for half an hour, starting from 15 minutes prior to the landing and continuing until the Prime Minister reached the VIP room in the airport.

Flights in the airspace above Kathmandu were stalled during the period to ensure a safe landing of the Prime Minister’s plane.
