Durga Prasai arrested for an offense under the Electronic Transactions Act

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been arrested by the police.

Nepal Police’s Cyber Bureau Superintendent of Police Deepak Raj Awasthi informed Republica that Prasai was arrested on Sunday for an offense under the Electronic Transactions Act.

A woman filed a complaint against Prasai in the Cyber Bureau. After the complaint was filed against him, the Kathmandu District Court authorized the police to issue an arrest warrant against Prasai and investigate him.
