Dilli Adhikari appointed Nepal Telecom MD

KATHMANDU, Jan 7: The cabinet meeting held on Thursday has decided to appoint Dilli Adhikari as the managing director of Nepal Telecom (NT). The post had remained vacant for almost four months after the government fired former MD Kamini Rajbhandari citing weak performance. 

With the cabinet decision, Adhikari, 44, becomes the youngest MD in the history of Nepal Telecom. 

Talking with Republica, Adhikari said that he will come up with a plan for overall development of NT. He said his major priority would be to complete the 4G project within one year and expand NT's high-quality service across the country.
