Dharan Mayor Sampang expresses optimism as he casts his vote

DHARAN, Nov 20: Harka Raj Rai (Sampang), the mayor of Dharan, voted today in the elections to members of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly.

He voted at the polling station at Carmel School located in Dharan 18. Mayor Sampang is a resident of ward 18.

Mayor Sampang wished that voting would be completed peacefully and that no vote would be invalidated. Giving a brief response to the media, he said, "It is a great thing to be able to exercise your right to vote. It is the day when everyone chooses their favorite candidate. It is happening peacefully; I hope it ends in a peaceful manner.”

Mayor Sampang also hoped that Dharan would get good guardians from the elections. Mayor Sampang also said that he expected the winner in the elections to play a role for good governance in the province above party interests. "I wish that there should be good guardians for good governance and development of Dharan, that guardians should play a role in all-round development of the province by staying above the interests of the party in solving the problems and basic needs of Dharan," he said.
