Deuba summons NC meeting
KATHMANDU, May 22: Sher Bahadur Deuba, president of the main opposition party, Nepali Congress (NC), has summoned its office bearers’ meeting today.
The meeting has been scheduled to begin from 9: 30AM today at Deuba’s residence in Baluwatar.
NC’s meeting is being called to discuss President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s move to dissolve the lower house of parliament and announce a midterm elections for November 12 and November 19.
Both Deuba and Oli had a staked claim for the post of prime minister on Friday.
The meeting is expected to hold discussion on the party’s strategy following the dissolution of parliament.
