Bonus Bill tabled in House

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Krishna Bahadur Mahara tabled the Bonus (Fifth Amendment) Bill, 2073 BS in the meeting of the Legislature-Parliament on  Friday. 

Tabling the Bill, Finance Minister Mahara argued that the Bill has been introduced to make the production competitive and it would be implemented only in the government bodies in the first phase. 

Before this, Prem Suwal of the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party had urged the government to withdraw the Bill saying it was not in line with socialism. The Parliament next meets at 1 pm on January 23. RSS
