UML, Maoist Center clash over IGP appointment

Due to the clash between CPN –UML and CPN (Maoist Center) on the appointment of Inspector General of (IGP) of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, the meeting ended inconclusively. The meeting of the Council of Ministers took place at the Prime Minister’s Official residence, Baluwatar, to hold talks on the appointment of IGPs of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force on Tuesday.

Govt calls for responsible citizenry as it champions access to education

 The cabinet meeting held at Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar ordered ministers, political leaders, provincial and local government employees and businesspersons across the country to do their parts to ensure the poorest and deprived children can afford school. 

CNP completes zero poaching year

Chitwan National Park (CNP) completed one year of zero poaching. A male rhino was killed by poachers at Dhubaghat of Belhatta Hariyali Community Forest are of CNP on April 7, 2017. A plan to celebrate the third year of zero poaching became unsuccessful last year after the rhino was killed 26 days before the completion of the third year of zero poaching year.
