24-hr ultimatum to arrest murderer of NC district leader

JAJARKOT, March 29: Leaders and cadres of the Nepali Congress (NC) have warned the local administration saying that they would launch a strong agitation if the latter did not arrest the murderer of Rabindra Shamsher Shah, district leader of the NC within 24  hours.

Shah was gruesomely murdered by an unidentified gang on Tuesday evening.

NC District Party Office, Jajarkot has given a 24-hour ultimatum to the District Administration Office saying that the murderer should be brought to book by 6 pm today.

NC District Party Office has shut down Jajarkot district protesting the Shah’s murder.

The     cadres have handed over a memorandum to Chief District Officer Krishna Chandra Paudel.

Nepal Press Union, Federation of Non-government Organizations, civil society, Panchtara Youth Samraksha Manch, Nepal Students Union, Nepal Tarun Dal, Nepali Congress among others  have condemned the murder demanding to arrest the culprit right away.
