20 injured in accident

MALEKHU (Dhading), July 25: As many as 20 passengers have sustained injuries when two microbuses collided with each other on the Prithvi highway at Chhahara, Gajuri Rural Municipality in Dhading district on Tuesday. 

The accident happened as the microbus (Ba 3 Kha 38) heading toward Chitwan from Kathmandu and another micro-bus (Ba 1 Ja 5870) en route to Kathmandu from Gorkha collided head-on, Police Inspector at the Ilaka Police Office, Gajuri, Barun Singh said. 

The locals of Chhahara rescued the passengers after hearing them cry following the mishap, and took them to hospital. 

The injured passengers are undergoing treatment at Gajuri Hospital. Three of the seriously injured passengers have been taken to the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu. The highway was obstructed for half an hour after the accident. Traffic has now resumed after the two micro-buses were removed from the road. RSS
